Position: President & Chief Executive Officer, Director

Mr. Cliff is the former Exploration Manager, Europe of Rio Tinto Exploration. During his 26 years with Rio Tinto he was involved in the discovery of 3 gold and 1 copper deposit and gained experience in the exploration and development of a wide variety of minerals and deposit types with a particular specialization in copper-gold porphyry systems and epithermal precious metal systems.

As Exploration Manager of Rio Tinto, Mr. Cliff led the discovery of the 5 million ounce copper-gold deposit in Turkey which commenced production in 2011. Early in his career, Mr. Cliff worked in South Africa where he was instrumental in the development and initial mine planning of the Unisel Gold Mine now operated by Harmony Gold Mines. He was also instrumental in the discovery of the Beatrix Gold Mine in South Africa which is owned by Goldfields and produces over 300,000 ounces of gold per year.

oRobert Giustra
Position: Chairman

Mr. Giustra has been actively engaged in the creation, financing, development and management of publicly-traded junior mining companies since 1992. His early experience in public markets includes working as an investment advisor with a national securities broker and later as an investment banker with an international investment dealer; where he co-founded the institutional equity sales and corporate finance departments, with a specialist focus on the junior mining sector. Since 1998, Mr. Giustra has held senior executive positions with and served on the board of a number of junior mining companies. He is presently the Chief Executive Officer of Columbus Gold Corporation.



 
oMichael Johnson
Position: Director

Mr. Johnson is the Chairman of Land Regeneration Management Ltd., an environmental consultancy for the mining industry. He is the author of two books and over 150 technical papers, holds (or has held) a number of advisory positions with professional institutes, national governments, international agencies and funding organizations, including the World Bank and the United Nations (Environment Program), and is retained as an external advisor on environmental matters to several international mining companies, including Rio Tinto plc and New Boliden-Outokumpu. Mr. Johnson is particularly experienced in the scoping and management of environmental assessments and audits, the implementation of environmental management strategies in the mining industry and the development of programs for the restoration and re-vegetation of decommissioned mine sites.



 
oNicholas Clarke
Position: Director

Mr. Clarke has nearly 40 years of experience in the mining industry and in managing publicly traded companies, having held the position of Managing Director with Oriel Resources plc and a host of other positions with notable international mining firms. Oriel Resources listed on the London Stock Exchange AIM market in 2004 and the TSX Venture Exchange in 2005; in 2008 it was sold to Mechel OAO of Russia for total consideration of $1.5 billion. Oriel's principal asset was the 19 million tonne high-grade Voskhod chrome ore deposit in Kazakhstan which under Mr. Clarke's leadership was advanced from the exploration stage to development, feasibility, mine construction and successful mine commissioning in only three and a half years. Mr. Clarke also has senior operational management experience within the producing mining industries of South Africa, Ghana, Saudi Arabia, and the United Kingdom.



 
oAkbar Hassanally, CA
Position: Chief Financial Officer

Early in his career, Mr. Hassanally audited junior mining companies at KPMG in Vancouver. Since 1995, he has been engaged principally as a mergers & acquisitions advisor, including on Wall Street with Credit Suisse First Boston and JP Morgan Chase, where he was responsible for conducting financial analysis and executing merger transactions in a variety of industries, including metals and mining. Mr. Hassanally holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Diploma of Honors Standing (Economics) from the University of Western Ontario and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia.



 
oJoel Schuster
Position: Vice President Legal & Corporate Secretary

Mr. Schuster is a graduate of the University of Toronto with degrees in political science and law, and is a member of the bar in British Columbia and Massachusetts. Mr. Schuster has worked in private legal practice for over a decade, most recently with DuMoulin Black LLP in Vancouver. Mr. Schuster has represented numerous mining companies in Canada and the United States in connection with initial public offerings, private placement funding, takeovers and mergers, public company maintenance and compliance, corporate governance, public disclosure, and, the acquisition and disposition of mineral properties.



 
oAndrew Yau, CGA
Position: Financial Controller

Mr. Andrew Yau holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Business Administration degree from the University of British Columbia and is a Certified General Accountant with strong working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards and public company reporting requirements. Mr. Yau has been in accounting and finance roles with publicly listed companies since 2006 and held controller positions with various precious metals producers, including Great Panther Silver Limited and Silvermex Resources Inc. In addition to being responsible for financial reporting and tax compliance, Mr. Yau has been a key contributor to developing and implementing internal controls and reporting frameworks at various companies.


 
oYassen Khrischev
Position: Vice President of Exploration

Mr. Khrischev has broad international experience in the mining industry, including with Rio Tinto in a variety of exploration roles, including as a Senior Project Geologist, and he has also held a Consulting Geologist position with Newmont in Turkey and Armenia. Mr. Khrischev has experience with a number of commodities, particularly gold and copper, and primarily in the exploration of copper-gold-molybdenum porphyry deposits and epithermal gold deposits in countries situated along the western section of the Tethyan Metallogenic Belt, including Serbia, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Romania and Turkey. He was also involved in the discovery of the Saray Guney gold deposit in western Iran. Mr. Khrischev holds a Masters Degree in Geology and Geochemistry from the University of Sofia in Bulgaria.



 
oJorge Martinez
Position: Vice President of Corporate Development

Mr. Martinez holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Miami with concentrations in Engineering and International Marketing, and has completed Project Management studies at the University of British Columbia. Mr. Martinez has over fifteen years of experience in Corporate Development and Communications, particularly in the mining industry but also in technology where he formerly held positions with Sony and 3Com.



 
oLirim Hoxha
Position: Country Manager - Albania

Mr. Hoxha is the former Deputy Director General of the Albanian Geological Survey. He is also a former Director of the Department of Economic Geology of the Albanian Geological Research Institute and the former head of the Board of Directors of the Albanian Center of Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. Prior to Mr. Hoxha's directorship appointments he was the Chief Geologist of Rubiku Geological Enterprises, an Albanian state controlled enterprise which during his tenure had 850 employees.

Mr. Hoxha is a specialist in Albanian ore deposit geology and in Albanian regional geology with a particular expertise in thrusting tectonics. He has authored or co-authored a number of geological publications and has contributed to many geological journals and bulletins. He is a member of several professional societies and associations and is a recipient of the prestigious Republic's Prize and an Honorary Fellow of Exeter University in the United Kingdom.
