Empire Mining Corporation (EPC: TSX-V) ("Empire" or the "Company") announces that John Prochnau has resigned as a Non-Executive Director but will remain actively involved in the Company's affairs as a Special Advisor reporting to the Board of Directors on general business strategy, project generation and development. Mr. Prochnau has concurrently tendered his resignation as a director of several publicly traded mining companies, reflecting his desire to focus exclusively on the technical and geological aspects of the industry in his new capacity of Special Advisor. Empire expects to appoint additional directors to its Board in the near future.
